2011 NYSOTA Conference Planning Update
HTD members continue to meet and make plans for an amazing state conference in our district. Planning is in the early, early stages but here is what we can confirm right now:
Date: October, 2011 (tentative)
Location: SUNY Orange Campus in Middletown
We have chosen this location for several reasons:
- Very reasonable fee to use the campus facilities
- State of the art buildings will be available to us including a new Assistive Technologies Lab
- COTA students will be available to help with before, during and after the conference
- PATH train station at nearby Galleria Mall makes easy access from NYC and LI
- Woodbury Commons Outlet shopping in close proximity and we can get coupons for conference attendees – everybody likes to shop!
Next conference planning meeting: September 15 @ SUNY Orange @ 6 pm

HTD NYSOTA Award
Annually the Hudson Taconic District of NYSOTA presents three awards to individuals acknowledging their contributions.
Certificate of Merit for Service honors a member or members of HTD for outstanding contributions to the profession of Occupational Therapy.
Certificate of Merit for Practice recognizes a member or members of HTD who, with their knowledge and expertise, have made a significant contribution to the advancement of the profession of Occupational Therapy.
Certificate of Appreciation recognizes a non–OT that has contributed to the profession by providing services that promote Occupational Therapy.
This is your opportunity to recommend a person who deserves the recognition. Candidates must be members in good standing with the New York State Occupational Therapy Association. Please download the award nomination application and mail back by 3/15/10
